Antimony is a metalloid with several allotropic varieties. The main application of antimony lies in its alloys with Lead (Pb), which increases the hardness and all the mechanical properties of the latter. Antimony is also known for its characteristics similar to those of Arsenic (As); these 2 simple bodies are regularly combined to produce ammunition.
