Phosphonates, also known as phosphonic acids, are
organophosphorus compounds, i.e. containing at least one phosphorus atom.
Phosphonates are also considered to be good chelating agents
(chemical physics process leading to the production of a complex). Many of the
phophonate compounds are used in everyday life.
Examples of
use:
- Treatment of herpes
- Treatment of stroke
- Detergent, cosmetic and pharmaceutical components
Product sheets: potassium
phosphonate, calcium phosphonate, sodium phosphonate, disodium phosphonate,
etc.
