An inorganic compound with the formula Na2SeO4, Sodium Selenate is not to be confused with sodium selenite. It exists as an anhydrous, heptahydrate and decahydrate salt. When it is not already in solution, Sodium selenate is most commonly in the form of a white powder. It is a water-soluble product. The product in decahydrate form is a common ingredient in multivitamins and animal feeds as a source of selenium. Anhydrous salt, on the otherhand, is used in the production of glass.
