Cobalt nitrate is an inorganic salt obtained by the reaction from a cobalt compound with nitric acid. It has the chemical formula (CONO3)2 and is commonly used in the 6H2O form. It has a reddish-brown colour and is highly soluble in water. It can also be supplied as a solution (which eliminates clogging problems).
